Markermeer
From Monnickendam we could take a trip down the streets of
historical Hoorn or touristic Volendam. We can also anchor
by the former fishermen island Marken (eventually have an
excursion). We visit a picturesque Edam (where we pass through
the small lock), the Batavia shipyard in Lelystad (it is a
centre for traditional shipbuilding in the Netherlands), the
Muider lock by Muiden, making a group photo in Dutch traditional
costumes in Volendam or book an excursion on the island of
Pampus.
The Dutch Wadden
From Den Oever we head on to the Dutch Wadden, known as a
wonderful nature reserve. Seals, birds, sandbanks, a taste
of salty water…With a bit of luck we can run aground
on a sandbank. If the weather circumstances are less favorable,
we can sail along the IJsselmeer coast to Medemblik. There
you can take a trip through the fascinating Steam Train Museum,
the museum on water.
